okay so I'm using go launcher ex, and I'm trying to set a splash page as a wallpaper, I set the page entire page as wallpaer. when I go back to the home screne it has croped the image down to 1/4 the size. anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Try adjusting the res to the KF screen's.

I see the android root interface is quite popular. I WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT....I want slides and grids and larger icons and customs locations. I dotn want mine to look like another ipad tablet or my phone, but im getting tired of the bookshelf abckground and the usless home screen wall papers. any ideas where to change it all before i jsut go write my own code

There are other launchers out there to try w/o rooting. It's basically a cosmetic change that should meet your need.

I'm presently using the ICS  (Ice cream sandwich) launcher. There are several posts on this subject within the forum.
