I was going to load the pandora appon my kindle fire, but received a warning that this app would take a huge amount of space. Has anyone tried it and had any problems? I'd love to use this app for my music.

It wont take up a ton of space. It warned that it uses a lot of data, meaning bandwidth.

Exactly NaturalFork, the app assumes since it was written for phones, data rates would apply and bandwidth would be a major concern.
Not a problem using it on wi-fi on a home network. Pandora, iheart, spotify, to name a few, are basically the same w/o issues using them on your home network or free wi-fi elsewhere. However, security might be a whole other issue.

What exactly does Pandora do on Kindle?

Pandora is cool in that you can basically tailor the app to work for you. You choose your music jandra. Create stations of music. Pandora will make assumptions based on your preferences and away you go.
It's cool, if you haven't checked it out, you owe it to yourself to do so.
Pandora has come a long way after nearly being destroyed by the RIAA.

I've been their premium member for a while now.
Loving it everyday.
Use it everywhere.
Totally forth $36 for the whole year
i discovered so many good songs through Pandora and it's so easy to build your station to be 'perfect'
more you listen, more you give thumbs up or down, the station becomes perfect.

Living in a mountainous area, radio reception is patchy and I am considerably more limited in listening options than most people. Pandora has been a great alternative, and I have been using it via my computer and cell phones for awhile now.
My one complaint is the tendency to hear the same couple of songs from each artist over and over. If I've rated those positively, I would hope to have more offered to me. But, for a free service, Pandora is pretty amazing, and I recommend anybody to try it.

I know what you mean.
On my more specific stations, that happens time to time.
I do have several other stations that I've been 'customizing' for years, where I don't have problems of repeating songs.
It also has to do with which genre music your station is playing. Obviously, Pandora doesn't have ALL the music in this world, thus running out of songs to choose from under the specific genre.
good thing is Pandora's song database is continuously growing.

Been listening to Pandora for years and like it very much. For an alternative from time to time when I find too many repeating songs, I use Slacker.

I have Pandora and get a few commercials every hour now.. I usually listen to Folkalley on my IPhone when I'm traveling in my Jeep. Just fire up the app and plug my IPhone into my Jeep stereo..
DJ comes on to tell you a little about the songs but, no advertisements..
